photographer, author, gardener, and food blogger. I love all the
animals with whom I share this beautiful planet, and enjoy showing
others that a healthy vegan lifestyle can be economical, simple, fun,
and delicious, too.
I’ve often heard, “I’d really like to eat that way, but it’s way too expensive!” I started Raw on $10 a Day (or Less), to see just how much a raw lifestyle might cost.
I shop almost exclusively at the one and only grocery store in my rural Michigan town, which is the Country Market, in Brooklyn, MI. And occasionally I buy from farmer’s markets, and grow my own. Those are the prices you see listed in my recipes.
I’m passionate about health, kindness, creativity, animals, and the environment. I live in the country … up on a windy hill in a twisty house that we built ourselves … situated between a wild creek and a lazy berry patch.
Raw on $10 a Day (or Less) proves anyone can go raw and vegan without going broke and includes a weekly menu, recipes, and cost and nutritional information.
My recipes, articles, art, and whatnot have been appeared in One Greet Planet, On Nonhuman Slavery, The Brooklyn Exponent, and The Huffington Post.
Here are a few of my favorite things …
photography …
… gardening and growing things …

“Whatever enchants, also guides and protects. Passionately obsessed by anything we love – sailboats, airplanes, ideas – an avalanche of magic flattens the way ahead, levels rules, reasons, dissents, bears us with it over chasms, fears, doubts.”
not much that makes me happier than helping others live a healthy,
compassionate, sustainable, and affordable life. I appreciate my readers
a great deal and each of you is an integral part of what I do!
