I had some sample seeds from Dollar Seeds in the spring, and they grew marvelously. I even went back for more, and am still growing a patch of Dollar Seed arugula. The selection is broader now, and I really like that Dave, the owner, donates seeds to pantry growers.

The best part about gardening is having fresh veggies and herbs!
I like how the kale seeds are on sale right on their website. 🙂
Gardening is good for the soul as well as the body! It is my number one stress reliever late spring to early fall!
Sounds delicious. Keep gardening!
Cutest cake idea EVER.
Also, I am starting my first backyard garden in the spring. I finally have the space and decided to just jump in feet first. I am having so much fun deciding what to plant and where.
Enjoy that I know where my food comes from! DON'T enjoy slugs on my Kale!
I enjoy being out in the fresh air and sunshine while gardening. It is most satisfying making a meal or preserving the harvest from your own garden.
I'm now following you on Twitter (as pixiepineblog)
🙂 Thanks!
I Tweeted!
I'm not entering cuz I won the last one! <3 But gardening is very gratifying. I currently have a tea tray covered in green grape tomatoes (sposed to be yellow or red, I think) waiting for them to ripen. I had to salvage them from the frost!
I love seeing my little round green tomatoes turn yellow, orange, and then red as the summer goes on.
I think gardening is amazing, but unfortunately, I have a black thumb and everything I touch seems to die. We also have a lot of snakes by us and I am petrified, so gardening is out for me. I would love to be able to garden, though. I leave it up to my hubby. Need to do some garden boxes I think….

great photos, post and giveaway!
what i love most about gardening is watching my little niece pick and eat straight from the vine.
Excellent giveaway! I would love to win some seeds. What I like most about gardening is when you see the first tiny fruit or vegetable start to emerge. I love tracking the sugar snaps!
I love gardening because it gets me outside and gives me such a sense of satisfaction! I grow veggies and native plants, so I benefit my body, my mind, and my neighborhood, too!
I also liked Raw on $10 on FB.
Thanks for hosting the give away!
I liked you on Facebook! Would love some seeds!
I also visited Dollar Seeds. I like the disclaimer that their seeds are grown organically even if the farms haven't met certification yet – that is a long process. I can't wait to order from them in the spring!
I liked you on FB.
What I love most about gardening is standing back and gazing at all the plants growing and producing.
Dollar seeds has a nice selection of veggies, sprouts, and herbs. Plus bulk and $1 packs.
Best thing for me is being outside, praising God for his glorious creation!!!
BTW–very clever how your menu card has the pea shoots on it too!!! Love it!
Peace and Raw Health,
Elizabeth
I LOVE pea shoots! Are they in season where you are?
Great article, great blog! I like this frugal raw approach 🙂
I've tipped a couple of your entries on tiptheweb.com. Don't remember which ones though…but it has saved those tips, so if you start an account with them in the next six months, and "claim" those websites, those tips should be waiting for you. Of course, if you don't want any of it, don't worry and have a nice day 🙂
Meant to say "this" website, i.e. rawon10, not "those websites." ack!
That is a darling cake – I love it! And love those fuzzy caterpillers. They're my fave!
I "liked" the page on Facebook, but I already have the site on my RSS feed for daily reading. 🙂 I have been working on changing my food lifestyle and your blog has been the most helpful because of the delicious recipes and cheap prices. I also plan to start gardening this Spring so I can have my own fresh produce to "cook" with!
I live where it is not possible to have a garden, so I enjoy gardening by proxy by reading about it, looking at pictures and shopping at a farmers' market.
The best thing about gardening for me is knowing that I have fresh organic produce that I can get! Plus I love to see the spout grow and become a plant.
After checking out Dollar Seeds I decided I have to buy their Bulk Corn Holiday Hybrid. Everyone in my family loves corn, and I can't wait til I can plant it. Dollar Seeds also has so many great sprouts; looking forward to shopping there!
